CEM has been awarded Moray Local Action Fund funding to support ongoing engagement with communities and community organisations across Moray in preparation for community share issues in renewable energy projects, which will likely be for £2 million or more.  The funds will also help develop a social media strategy for both local and wider engagement.  The Moray Local Action Fund, which is supported by a Scottish Government grant for community led local development in Moray, is for grassroots, community-led local development across various themes, including that which supports a transition to ‘net zero’– i.e. to an economy that does not produce any more climate-changing carbon emissions than it removes from the atmosphere – and to help address the climate and nature emergencies.
