Founded in 2021, Community Energy Moray is a co-operative supporting community investment in sustainable energy from renewable and low carbon sources. We’re also working towards the reduction of carbon emissions and promotion of climate resilient living in the community.

OUR AIMS
For the Moray & East Nairnshire community we aim to:
- Reduce carbon emissions
- Promote climate resilience
- Reduce fuel poverty
- Improve sustainability and fairness
- Develop sustainable energy from renewable and low carbon sources
- Reduce and manage energy demand
- Develop, deliver and operate low carbon public transport systems, including electric vehicles, low carbon public transport, walking and cycling
- Promote sustainable development through the creation of low carbon training opportunities and jobs
- Promote awareness of environmental related issues

📢 One more month to have your say: Community benefits from net zero energy developments, consultation closes 11th April 2025
The Scottish Government is consulting as part of a review of the Good Practice Principles for onshore and offshore renewable energy. The aim is to ensure that Government guidance helps communities and developers get the best from community benefits. This is your chance to help shape the future of community benefits.
The consultation is seeking:
🔹 the views of all those with an interest in the social and economic benefits of renewable energy development for people and communities in Scotland.
🔹 views on community benefits from onshore technologies, such as onshore wind, solar, hydrogen and storage and community benefits from offshore technologies, such as offshore wind.
📢 Share your thoughts and help make community benefits work for everyone.
